Stefan is an anaesthesiologist and intensivist. He qualified MBBCh at the University of the Witwatersrand. Subsequently he joined the department of Anaesthesiology and obtained his Diploma followed by his Fellowship in 2011. He then joined the department at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital working as a consultant from 2012 until leaving in 2021. During this time he completed a fellowship in Critical Care and obtained his Certificate in Critical Care
He is currently a member of the WITS Donald Gordon Medical Centre organ transplant team and has been involved in registrar education since specialising.
Stefan joined the Dunkeld practice in 2021.
